In yesterday's New York Times David Streitfield commented on the millions of American homeowners whose negative equity will keep them underwater for years to come, "a modern variation of the Victorian debtor's prison that is freezing a large swath of the market."
Yesterday's vote in the U.S. Senate offers assistance for first time homebuyers and moveup homebuyers through the end of April 2010
No real relief is yet available for millions that can not think in terms of a "moveup" in current conditions. What assistance is available for those of us whose tax dollars make possilbe the TARP and related financing for the "TOO BIG TO FAIL" institutions who helped create our "debtor's prison?"
